A DAY OUT INSPECTING OUR NEW COMMUNITY HOUSE.
A few weeks ago, we launched our new community house. Community centers/Homes are all about providing a place for the community or families to connect and socialize. Most of these homes offer different things for different people. For Kent Housing, this would act as a home away from home for families with children in the local hospital. It will also give families a warm and comfortable place to rest, eat and relax, just moments away from their children’s hospital.
Families often find themselves traveling long distances to be with their children in hospitals. The community house has helped us keep families together. Our vision is for every child in the hospital to have their families close by and ensure families are fully supported in our Houses and remain actively involved in their child’s care.
Being part of this engaging activity has given us a sense of belonging. It enables us to share personal relatedness and support the perpetual growth of each other, the community, ourselves, and our environment.
